Welcome to SCAP

Welcome to SCAP — Schools Climate Action Projects, a whole-school, systems-focused, and solution-driven movement for student climate leadership and locally grounded action.

SCAP was created to transform schools from places that simply talk about climate change into places that design, test, and lead real climate action projects. Through SCAP, students, educators, researchers, and school communities are guided to move beyond awareness and into evidence-informed action: learning the science, asking better questions, investigating local problems, designing feasible solutions, implementing pilot projects, measuring impact, and sharing results with wider communities.

As SCAP enters its next stage of regional expansion and curriculum development, we are building a stronger structure for school-based climate action through regional chapters, elected officers, student councils, professional boards, SCAP Press, newsletters, and a strategic Climate Action Project Curriculum. This framework will prepare students to develop meaningful capstone projects rooted in their own schools and communities.

At its core, SCAP believes that climate education should not end with concern. It should lead to action, reflection, collaboration, and measurable change.

Welcome to SCAP. From Climate Awareness to Climate Action.
